I have the Radio Shack version of this truck...

Had it for ~2 years... since it is 2 years old they're on clearance finally. EVERYTHING is so cheap for them. I'm getting 2 motor hop ups... a high rev motor AND a twin motor conversion :-D this is the most fun RC vehicle I've got (and I have an HPI RS4, and Traxxas REVO) I would rather play with this one all day. BUT they never made a li-po battery for it (that I could find) or a quick charger for the battery, so I only get about 30 mins of run time to 10 hrs of charge.

The RC scene never captured me. Even when #1 son was growing up and wanted several when he was younger. The olny fun I had with them was terrorizing the dog and cat with them. Yeah Ima cruel bastard.

I know, I wanted to captivate Chris' attention with it and possibly Tom's.  And it worked.

I just picked up some stuff for mine from ebay for dirt cheap!

5 sets of brand new wheels/tires for $29 shipped

(^ I'll only use one motor upgrade at a time, duh)

Finally got the rest of my order today!!!

Twin motor conversion kit
High-Speed motor kit
Upgraded driveshaft (carbon) and replacement gear box covers
extra battery and charger


For now since I'll mostly be running the car inside where I cannot "open her up" I've installed the twin motor conversion. I also dropped in the upgraded driveshaft.

Allllllll together it took me around 2-3 hours. I took my time and cleaned up a lot of stuff and reoiled my bearings. The biggest pain was getting the motor spur gears to mesh properly. I cannot wait until I get the batterys charged up, I'm hoping that with a soft suspension in the rear and some ribbed tires it'll pull wheelies on the carpet
