No one wants a president that many didn't want. Many people in the United States are not educated in politics and what is happening during election time.
Tell me what you guys think; if your for or against and why.

Very deep.
Knowledge test? The question is, what knowledge do we test for? IQ? Polysci understanding? Current issues? I would know where to start.
I do believe that such an examination will never come to fruition, it would require an amendment to the constitution, and can you imagine the outcry from those that would be dis-enfranchised? Wow!
The fact is that we already have such a test/quiz/screening in place called the electoral college. The founding fathers already understood and saw into the future what may happen if the un-educated commoners had their way via the popular vote. IT sucks and that is what first needs to be changed. Ban the electoral college.
Thoughts?

I know it wouldn't happen, but I think that there are many people that vote for a certain canidate and don't have that much knowledge about that person. Someone could vote for someone sick or someone with different views than themselves. The canidates running for office are very smart, they can trick you or manipulate others and get them to vote for them. There should be some way in getting the public to be more educated in politics so they know who they will vote for.

yes but that would mean improving our education system nationwide, and then their gig would be up!
they'd prefer to keep the underserved uneducated so they keep believing the promises of "we will help you". really? want to help them - educate them!
how many promises have been made that truly help to the poor in this country? other than stand in this line and get a check for not working, free healthcare, cheap apartments, etc. if they want to help all the poor people, educate them so they can provide for themselves and be productive members of society. there is no excuse for people in the USA that can not read or write unless that are mentally challenged. our education system needs to step up. i was watching that home make over show with ty and there was a family on from the south. 4 kids - mom & dad cant read - kids attend a school that has no school books - WTF? how is that happening in this country?
the poor get screwed so bad and they have no idea because they are handed checks to keep em happy and spoon fed false hope. i don't blame the poor for taking all that is handed to them either. if i were in their place, living in a crap hole and uneducated yeah i'd take some handouts too.
end result, the education system needs to step up. not just the teachers, but the politicians who fund them.

I did have an idea some time ago. Once upon a time I was very civic minded. To the point that I served as an election judge for each election in our district.
My thought was to have several dummy polling boxes where we could (upon determing the voter was a darwinian candidate) deposit their ballots. Then after polling closed, circular file for those guys!
Kind of illegal, but, who hasnt dreamed of doing away with the worlds twits?

Ah yes, cook county. But, I am in lake county. Nevertheless, I know its wrong. Man what a subject, basically civics 101.
1. Shoud you vote? DAMN RIGHT YOU SHOULD. if you dont, they win, its that simple. Someday the popular vote will make a significant impact. We need to keep pushing!
2. Should we worry about those that are not educated? Yes. However, via communication, we need to keep trying to pass the word. Here again, we cannot give up.
Nuff said, too much typing this late at night, sorry.

so do you have an argument or any point to share or are you going to randomly post ignorance? here's some irony for you... the word puncuation has one p - you may want to educate yourself on how to use spell check before pointing your pinky finger at the typos made by others. just curious...isn't there some protest you can go some play photo journalist at?

Okay okay, I think the guy was a little mean in coming onto the forum and posting that, but let's try to give him a little break?
Kyle, post up some pics of your car and some info about yourself so we don't go jumping to conclusions.
