hey guys i thought i'd post some pics of my setup seeing as it is the only mod that i've done so far. its pretty much a 12 inch sub with a custom fiberglass sealed box in the little flappy storage(w/e the hell you call it) area in my A4. This was pretty much a summer project and the first time we installed it, we blew the stock headunit... . we had to take everything out and luckily the dealership fixed it . so with the addition of of a high to low converter my friend, and John(JVC), and I reinstalled it and it is freakin awsome. well i'll show you the pics o and the picture of the other side is where the amp is hidden. I was going for a completely stock look. let me know what you think.

thanks. the only minor problem is that the sub isnt completely centered in the opening(half an inch goes under the panel).... but i really don't care seeing as I'm driving rather then looking at it. Right now im thinking about doing a dark stained wooden floor with a back lit frosted plexi Audi rings in layed in the wood. my only problem is that where the spare goes the floor rises a little so i dont know how i would do that on wood flooring

Looks Good, the only issue that arises is that the Sub does not have the proper space specification for optimizing the Sub Sound. There are minimum requirements that the JL Sub needs (or any Sub for that matter) and that space is too small. I'm sure you are getting some Bass, but I guess I am picky when it comes to my Systems. I actually considered doing that in my S4, but realized quickly that the space would not come close to fitting the proper Box specs.
Like I said, It looks good. I would like to hear it and then we can compare it to my system.

ya i pretty much had no idea what i was doing b4 i started this project. and after i made the enclosure i realized that hid had to be a certain size. but because I'm so godly it was actually the correct size lol. there is a crap load of space back there to. and the sub enclosure that i made uses up a fraction of it. if you can take of your side trim and you will see how much space is back there. its crazy

i'm down for a build...i got no glassin' skillz. i have all this equipment sitting around the garage...and the A4 is lacking in sound. i got 2 phoenix gold 10" xmax subs. i only want to throw one in. my phoenix gold amps are just sitting around. M44 and MS2125. i got all PG wiring, distrub blocks, etc. PG farad cap and 1/4 cap my interior has boston acoustics on the inside. i've been waiting to do that side sub thing forever. the xmax sub box runs 0.35 - 0.6 cubic feet. so its a small box. but i don't know how to measure such volume of those enclosures. but i'm down if your down.
