I had VERY high expectations from this car.

Lets find out if it meets them.

My initial impressions were rather disappointing. I walked up to a car that looked like a normal 3 series, got into a car that looked like a normal 3 series, and started it like a normal 3 series. Now the particular model i drove was an SMG equipped model, not my option of choice to be completely honest. It may have been that everything was all black, and hidden, but to me it just didnt have "it."

Now driving the car was different, just a bit, to a normal 3. Hearing the sound of a very high strung V8 was rather pleasant, but just completely at odds for what I want from an M3. I want to hear a screamer of a straight 6! At least it DID sound good and pulled hard.

The SMG was where i had most of my issues with this car. I dont like an automatic pretending to be a manual. I dont like how it catches at idle. I dont like how i cant smoothly accelerate the car. I plain old dont like it. Hopefully one day i can drive a 6 speed version of the car because frankly, when it comes to cars, im an old fogey and i cant get past this stupid transmission.

The interior its self was just "alright." Again, nothing impressive here, nothing to stand apart, nothing that screams M-DIVISION BWAAHHHH!!!!!!! (which is what i really wanted). Everything is so soft and luxurious, its just disgusting to put an M badge on this car. (my own 325e is more hardcore in my opinion, and id rather drive it than this V8 dinosaur).

So after a good 30 min of driving (the most enjoyable part being able to pull off the road to take pictures), i just really didn't like this car at all. I cant say that i hate it, i for sure cant say that i like it. It just felt so mute and gave off NO vibe to me at all. I collectively place my "boo" upon it. And id rather have the C63...

But what about C63 vs. B8 RS4?

I don't like the new looks of the M's at all, they're not as "HEY! I'M AN M CAR AND AM RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING!!!"

Too many cars to list with only 300 characters, I'm up to 10 now. Smiley
