Anyone know anyone with one of these.  It's the "cool looking" van from Mercedes?

Checking into this over the weekend.  Gonna check a few out up north (or local to you guys).

She wanted some damn ass ugly Buick SUV - I said - "Hell no....I wouldn't drive that thing to hell".....so while the irons hot!

Have you considered a Magnum SRT8?

A few guys have Magnums at work...very nice looking.....BUT I NEED 6 seats.....so just short of a f'n bus...

I bought one in today at MB of Westmont.  Traded her 94 GP GT (48K) on an 06 MB R350.  Would've liked a R500 but need decent gas mileage for a kid/grocery hauler.  Got the big S500 to play in. Man, I've never seen so many M5, M3, M6, BAD ASS Audi's, Prosche, Lotus and yes a white PANOZ.  I couldn't stand to work there all day!!  Tongue

Very tight driving car. AWD. Bulit on the S class frame. Went to Luxury Motorcars first to look at a blue one...it was gone.  Feel pretty cheap standing there telling the salesman you need to be at "this" price range while there is a $336,000 Bently Conv. behind you.  Shit, the guys watch (which I'm very fond of watches) was proabably 3K!!!

Now I'm on the prowl for some 18" AMG's......she'll probably kill me!! Evil

So did you get the one you purchased from luxury motors? I hope all is well with it. I absolutely do not want to take away from your purchase of a nice ride by any means. I would avoid that place like an STD. The stories and experiences I have come across are just to scary for me to want to do anything with them. Most of the stories are concerning the vehicles they have and more precisely where THEY got them from.

For hauling kids and stuff I have been happy with my old dodge caravan. Its all wheel drive and despite having one issue with the tranny, it has held up very well. with 150k+ on it, it feels as if I can get another 100k out of it. Plus, its older and I dont have a problem when the kids get food and garbage tossed all over the inside. I would have a harder time with a high end suv.

I was gonna post a few pics but I think I'm over the limit?  How can I fix that??

I didn't get anything from Luxury Motors but the one I got was from MB fof Westmont.

I too hope the kids don't EFF this car up.  She's pretty good about keeping her cars nice so that's awesome.  Just make sure there is NO POP - CANDY - FOOD - OF ANY SORT.....EVER!!!

So anyway...how can I post a few more pics??  Huh?

Use tinypic.com to upload the image, then copy and paste the IMG code that shows up.

I can see it with 19" AMG's, front splitter, HID, rear diffuser.  Think she'd notice??  Saw one on eBay with Carlsson equipment.  Looked too much though. Guy I work with has one with AMG stuff and looks real smooth.

19 inch AMGs might be too large. I think if you put 18s on there and drop it 1.5-2.5 inches with an adjustable suspension setup (for when it starts to snow) it would have good stance. I would also black out the things I have pointed out below:

But leave the logo alone, just the bars.

I would also smoke the tails like you have done on your existing MB.

Don't do a splitter, I don't think its worth it on something like this. With a suspension change, it should have a good stance. However, this is your project, its just what I would do. Keep us updated of course.  thumbsup

For some reason, I thought you bought the suv benz (the name escapes me). Im not sure I would act on all themods DC has stated, but, thats just my taste. Higher end german cars are tasteful enough as is. The only option I would go with is the larger, wider wheels for a moer aggressive look.

Its nice as it is though! Good choice!  thumbsup

Your probably thinkin the ML series (GL looks like Jeeps)

It's gonna be real hard to do anything to it as it is.  She won't like anything I do to it except maybe some cool AMG's, adding factory foglamps.

Subtle....that's it.  So it's pretty much hers, her friends will see it and form an opinion (of course) so like I said it'll have to be subtle.

Thanks for the suggestions though DC....I LIKE!

Ya, know...maybe the grill with the chrome bars still there.  That's would be like my S600 grill.  Might have to put some electrical tape on there and check it out.   HHMMMM....maybe.
