The wording of the bill is "to allow motorists to protect themselves from skin cancer" so it should pass after all who wants to be the asshole who didn't want illinoisans protected from skin cancer.

Side note: for those of you who have seen my tints Noreen got sunburned in my car with the windows up and sunroof closed last year in Vegas. So yeah if it doesn't pass we'll be getting a doctors note allowing them anyway.

My wife is at her brain doctor now trying to get the window tint application filled out since she has MS.

seriously, is this country turning into another Switzerland? is our government starting to really hate cars? California hates modified cars of any kind, Texas has VERY strict emmissions laws, and now you guys have this "BAN ALL TINT ON CARS!!!" bullshit.

what's next? Florida reinstates emmissions?

I'm going to check into OH laws... But my brother in law is an optometrist, so I'm going to see if it's legit for him to write me a prescription for tint. Anyone want to cruise the Ohio laws for me and check?

Window Tinting - The acceptable percentages of light transmission for motor
vehicles are:
• Windshield - The tinting must allow 70 percent light transmission. This
level is equivalent to the amount installed as standard equipment of most
new cars.
• Front seat driver/passenger side windows - The tinting must allow 50
percent transmission, plus or minus three percent. Motorists can call
their local Highway Patrol Post for the location of the nearest motor
vehicle inspection team to see if their windows comply with the law.
Violation of the law is considered a minor misdemeanor, with fines up to
$100.

I politely pointed him to the Florida plates on the rear of the car. Bye bye Mr. Po-Po.  Cool
